In a stunning upset at the inaugural Air KBZ Aung Lan Championship in Yangon, Washington knocked out the reigning Golden Belt champion Tun Tun Min in round 3 with a spinning heel kick. Even after his own injury time-out, Tun Tun Min could not continue. Because the bout was an exhibition match, the Golden Belt was not at stake.
Washington's final Lethwei bout, a rematch to settle which foreigner was the best in the sport after their 2017 draw for the Golden Belt. Leduc beat him by TKO in round 4 (2:40) at the Outlaw Saloon in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
