Biography

Burmese Lethwei fighter born Maung Too on October 6, 1990 in Yenanchaung, Magway Region. Undefeated under traditional, knockout-only Lethwei rules, he held the 75 kg Lethwei Golden Belt until his reported death and won the inaugural WLC Middleweight World Championship on November 4, 2017, losing it by decision to Naimjon Tuhtaboyev on January 31, 2020 — his only career loss. Arrested at his home in Minbu Township on 11 April 2022 for taking part in protests against the 2021 Myanmar military coup (Wikipedia notes weapons and explosives were in his possession), Burmese outlets reported that he died in military custody on April 26, 2023, and that he may have been tortured; the death has never been officially confirmed.

Leduc locked Too Too in a clinch and landed repeated elbows and knees, but Too Too stayed on his feet through all five rounds. With no knockout, the bout was ruled a draw under traditional Lethwei rules.
